Founder and President

Mr. Smith is a Partner with the Atlanta-based consulting firm, Vantage Point Advisory, Inc. Prior to joining Vantage Point, Mr. Smith served as a Vice President in GE Capital’s Commercial Lending group. Mr. Smith also served as an Associate in the Corporate and Investment Banking division of Wachovia Securities and began his professional career as an Analyst in the Fixed Income division of Lehman Brothers, an investment banking firm. Mr. Smith earned his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the Owen School at Vanderbilt University in 2004 and his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Alabama in 2000.

Mr. Smith is a former board member of the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta, where he served for three (3) years from 2012 – 2015, including Co-Chair of the annual Buddy Walk in 2014. He is currently a board member and acting Treasurer of Gigi’s Playhouse, a Down syndrome achievement center. Mr. Smith joined the Gigi’s board in 2015 and assumed the Treasurer role in 2016. Mr. Smith, currently resides in Atlanta with his wife and daughter. He has an older brother, Kerry (age 41), with Down syndrome.

Kerry Smith was a founding participant of the Exceptional Foundation of Birmingham and continues to attend the program four days per week to this day.
